21 Secrets to Financial Success Is Out!

success-2.jpg

My new book,21 Secrets to Financial Success is out and the testimonies from people that have read it is amazing.

I call this book my miracle book. I know you are a bit lost, so, I will explain. It’s my miracle book because it survived so many obstacles to finally hit the bookshelves. That book was supposed to have been the ticket with which attendees at my last free seminar on blogging and adsense will enter. And I had finished work on it preparatory to going to press. Bam, the unexpected happened! My computer was infected with a virus that had invaded the entire system and I was faced with the reality of formatting my system and loosing all my files. All efforts to salvage the files proved abortive as each time we opened the system again, the same problem re-occured. I had to finally succumb to losing the files including the manuscript of this new book of mine. You can imagine how I felt afterwards. Empty, sick and forlorn.

This happened on  Wednesday, August 19th,2009.Barely 9 days to the free seminar.Between that Wednesday and Sunday, August 23rd,2009,I had to keep sleepless nights to make sure this book was retyped and ready to go to the printers.I did all the typing and thank God I have a retentive memory.I was able to piece most of the ideas in the lost manuscript in this new one.Don’t forget also that I had a seminar on Saturday,August 22nd,2009.In between the seminar,I was working on this manuscript.I called the printers and to the glory of God,my miracle book was on the book shelves from August 28th,2009.But,I broke down after all the stress.I had to give myself some rest, which I did.

So,what’s in my miracle book which costs just N300? Below is an excerpt:

“What is Financial Success?

Financial success can mean different things to different people. For some, financial success is being able to afford costly apparel. For the Dutchman, it is a fat wife. For an East Indian, it is gold jewelry on his wife. For a Kenyan, it is goats or camels. For some, it is cash in the bank, a house, a car, a boat, furniture, or modern gadgets. Most often, it is measured by the accumulation of material things beyond one’s need.

But I think true prosperity is not possession but potential. So if prosperity is not the amount of one’s possessions, neither is it the total value of one’s possessions, then what is it? Prosperity is defined as one of the following.

1. Financial success
2. Health and healthy growth
3. Making use of our potential

Some will say that financial success is a matter of luck. But luck is the lazy man’s term for the result of the hard working man’s efforts.

To obtain financial success, we have to put our resources to work. If you lock them away in a box, they won’t bring any advantage. What are they? Our health, our environment, our assets, our climate, our families, our friends, our education.

Just like farmers use their land to its best advantage, we have to make use of our own capability. Sometimes we can and have to improve our capability. We have to learn what we can do and do what we know best.

How many of you have read the book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill? In that, the author describes the money making secrets which made fortunes for hundreds of exceedingly wealthy men. It is not easy but it is not only possible, it is even practical. Hill describes determination, a burning desire, imagination, faith, autosuggestion and persistence as the essential elements of becoming rich.

Paul Getty said for people to become rich, they must find a need and fill it. It might be a leisure facility, a mill to grind pepper, horses to plough the land. If we can detect anything that people really need and supply it, there will be demand, and demand improves its value.

Becoming rich is not prosperity in itself. What is the good of wealth if there is no health? Even if we have wealth and health, what profit have you if you have no peace of mind? Jesus said, “What shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul.” (Mark 8:36)

Therefore, our prosperity depends on our potential – potential for wealth, potential for health, potential for peace of mind.

Do we have those potentials? Some people cannot see their own potential. They think they have no potential. They are poor, they are sick, they are foolish, they are incapable. They have nothing that is good. They always look at the negative side and lack of things. But, it should not be so. Start looking at the positive side of life and you will be amazed at what you can achieve in a short while.

Having talked about Financial Success, let me briefly talk about Financial Independence because they are often used interchangeably.

Financial independence – it’s the ultimate frugal goal, but what does it mean really? Trent of thesimpledollar.com says there are three common (but very different) definitions for financial independence. They are:

  • not relying on others to pay your bills
  • freedom from all debt
  • freedom from having to work for income

Which definition do you use? I tend to regard financial independence as a combination of the three; and so, for me, financial independence is not something that is easily gained. I don’t rely on others to pay my bills, but I’m still socking away money to reach a point where I don’t have to work to live.

Where are you at in your quest for financial freedom? And what have you done to get there?

According to Brian Tracy in his article titled: Start From Nothing and Become Financially Independent by Developing Four Qualities, “the statistics are a little scary. Of 100 people who reach retirement age, according to insurance industry statistics, only one will be wealthy. Four out of the hundred will be financially independent; fifteen will have some savings put aside. And the other 80 will be dependent on pensions, still working or broke – this after a lifetime of well-paid work in the most affluent society in human history. Now why does this happen?”

This is a great lesson for all of us to learn from. What l usually do whenever l finish a project to my satisfaction is to quickly download into a cd as a backup in case something like this decides to challenge me.

Remember, not everybody has the gift of a retentive memory like this great lady of ours.

In the alternative, you may just write in long hand and type it out later, that way you’ll be having a permanent copy no matter what happens qwith your computer – no virus can invade your writing sheets, you know.

Learn from this.Learn… it;s the GREATEST lesson you can learn without you gioing through it.

Ask Julius Ojeagbase who told us about a similar experience sometime ago.

It is indeed a miracle coupled with your dent of hard work and dexterity. I trust your resilience hence the achievement of your objective despite the challenges. Sharing this experience is golden as many will not only learn from it but will expect the unexpected each time they are faced with a project like this. I know you as someone that does not recognise limitation and with God on your side you shall always triumph. Finally I say devil is a liar and your ever bright light shall continue to eliminate darkness. Cheers.

Glory be to God that you were able to finally bring out the book. I have read it and i think it is great. How I wish everybody would have a copy!
I have learnt from this episode to write in long hand and then type later. Hitherto I prefer typing my thoughts as they occur. This is a great lesson not to take anything for granted.
