How Can I Find a Profitable Niche Market?
Q:I have heard so much about Niche marketing. How can I choose a profitable Niche market for my online business?
A:Niche Marketing. Have you ever heard about it? If you have, let me say congratulations because it is the way to making super profits online now. It amazes me how many people want to make money online yet choose a ‘make money online’ niche when lesser known niches such as weight loss, muscle fitness, cancer prevention, autism etc are rolling in megabucks for smart netpreneurs day in, day out. Just take it from me, if you want to make big money online without much stress and within a short period, please go niche. PERIOD!
What is Niche Marketing?
A Niche is simply a group of people with common interests. Football lovers are a niche, though a broad one. Within that niche, you can have sub-niches such as Arsenal lovers, Chelsea lovers (as if you knew I love the blues) etc. Essentially, directing your marketing to this small groups is what has become known as Niche Marketing. As I earlier said, Niche marketing is the way to go if you really want to be able to make good money online. Now, let me tell you this if I have never told you before.Internet Success does not come from serving a large group of people. It comes from serving small groups of people and serving them well.
How Can I Locate Profitable Niches?
There are several ways to locate profitable niches but I will list some below:
1. Go to Magazines.com and look at the top magazines. That will give you an idea of the reigning niches at any point in time.
2. Go to Amazon.com and clickbank.com and search their bestseller’s list. This will give you an idea of profitable niches you can tap into at any point in time.
3. Use keyword tools such as http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com.
This will tell you the number of searches being made daily on a particular keyword. To search with keyword tools, just type ‘how to’ with the keyword you are targetting, eg,’how to wed, how to health, etc. It will not only tell you the number of searches being done on the keyword, it will also tell you related searches being done on that particular keyword. If the number of searches is over 500,you may want to research further by going to Google and typing in your keyword. Watch the results closely. If there are too many competitors in that field, you may want to go for a sub-niche. Why? You may not have the kind of resources your competitors have to battle you in the marketplace. So, assuming you want to produce Indomie, you can’t battle De-United Foods so create a niche out of that for yourself. Say you are producing Indomie for invalids, so, out of that big market, you have carved out a market for yourself. That way, invalids who want to buy Indomie will buy yours.
